The CROWN Mural commemorates the passing of the CROWN Act which prohibits discrimination based on hair style and hair texture. We worked with the Dove, CROWN Coalition, and Murals DC to create this work of art.

Discovery
We surveyed the wall and provided concept sketches to the project's key stakeholders for approval
Design
We designed the mural as a celebration of black hairstyles
Medium
We painted the mural using aerosol (spray paint)
Dedication
An official dedication was held and the mayor's office held an in-person press conference to unveil the mural during a ceremony marking the passing of the CROWN act
